Youthfed
YouthFed is a Merseyside based charity that supports over 5000 young
people between the age of 8 and 25.
The brief:
My task was to redesign their current website. They also had quite a confused brand and user journey, so the most important task was to find out what the main point of the website was and who it was aimed at. Tasks included on the project were:
BRAND EXPLORATION
UIX/UI DESIGN
PRINT COLLATERAL
The outcome:
The early signs are that the Youth Federation is developing a stronger brand personality and a positive ‘buy-in’ from its investors.

The process
I created a sitemap and categorised the page under 4 main areas i defined as their audience; young people, parents or guardians, groups and volunteers and partners and funders. From here I established a colour co-ordinated journey with useful links in relevant sections. The copy was also tailored to each specific audience.
Sitemapping and wireframing.
As the site was quite large and not really holding any particular structure, I separated the site out into four main areas and worked the site map out from there. Then followed basic wireframes done in Sketch, with interactive prototypes shown to the client.
